4th Annual Contemporary American Violin & Bow Maker Exhibition & Sale, Los Angeles

Announcing the Fourth Annual Contemporary Violin & Bow Maker Exhibition & Sale, Los Angeles!

Violins, violas, cellos, and bows from over 50 of the finest makers from the Americas will be exhibited and sold at the Metzler Violin Shop in Glendale, California during the months of March, April, May, and June 2020.

Special tonal comparisons LIVESTREAM with section leaders from the Los Angeles Philharmonic will take place on the evenings of March 23 through 25 at the Metzler Violin Shop:

Monday, March 23, 7:00pm:  Nathan Cole, first associate concertmaster of the Los Angeles Philharmonic, will compare 38 violins.

Tuesday, March 24, 7:00pm:  Teng Li, principal violist of the Los Angeles Philharmonic, will compare 19 violas.

Wednesday, March 25, 7:00pm:  Robert de Maine, principal cellist of the Los Angeles Philharmonic, will compare over a dozen cellos.

• The instrument tonal comparisons will continue as planned but will now be closed to the public and instead be live-streamed through Facebook.  Advertised dates and times are still current and we will provide links for you in a later email. 
• We ask that you please do not come to the shop for the tonal comparison evenings.
• We will remain open for business both in store and online during our normal business hours. 
• Exhibition instruments and bows will still be exhibited during shop hours on March 23, 24, 25. All interested parties are welcome and encouraged to come and visit our exhibit hall between 10AM and 6PM all three days.
