Martha Mooke Electric Viola Concert & Clinic

Join us on Sunday, November 22 from 4 – 6 pm for an exciting free concert & clinic with electro-acoustic violist and composer Martha Mooke, courtesy of Yamaha. A pioneer in the field of electric five-string viola, Mookes will perform a selection of her original works from her upcoming CD, No Ordinary Window, using the instrument and pedals in very innovative ways. Following the performance, she will discuss her approach to performing, improvising, composing, and address methods for developing a creative voice in an encouraging, supporting, and nurturing atmosphere.

This event will run in conjunction with Step Up to Yamaha, which offers rebates of up to $100 on select Yamaha stringed instruments until 12/31/15. Additionally, all attendees of this event are eligible for exclusive double rebates from Yamaha for instruments purchased that week. This event is free, but reservations are required.
